Sunshine Health Facilities began in 1949 as the vision of Ellen C. Craig, a woman who cared deeply for people and wanted to provide a safe, loving environment for them when they could no longer live independently.
Sharing Ellen’s vision, the next generation of her family joined in the mission to enrich the lives of people who are advanced in years or who need assistance due to illness, injury, or a medical condition. Ellen’s vision eventually became Sunshine Health Facilities. Sunshine Health Facilities continues to be owned by Ellen's family, who work to further Ellen’s vision of improving the health and wellness of those in need.
Today, Sunshine Health Facilities is known as a trusted provider of home health, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, senior housing, memory care, and inpatient behavioral health treatment.
